Finally I’ve got my blog upgraded to the latest Wordpress version (2.5.1). I have two reasons to upgrade my blog. The first one is “one click for upgrading plugin”. I think this feature is really genius because sometimes I have no time to go to plugin website, download it and then upgrade it from FTP or file manager. It’s such a waste! Secondly, the issue about Wordpress 2.6. I don’t want to make a big leap from 2.3 to 2.6, do you?
The upgrading went smoothly and just fine. Some previous plugin in this blog didn’t work, but that was ok (I’ve update my plugin parade, check it out!). Lucky me that there was no trouble in the database level because I didn’t backup any files 
And now I just think about why they (WP developer) don’t make a “one simple click for upgrading Wordpress“? I believe this will be the most brilliant feature upgrading the next Wordpress version. Moreover, it will be very helpful for bloggers like me need something easy and fast (certaintly, excluding those who enjoy modifying WP files). I specially write this posting in English so that it reach many more around the world. Hopefully, someone reads it and make it real. Is it possible, anyone?

Banyak jalan menuju roma, kalo saya lebih seneng upgrade di local dulu, memastikan semuanya ok baru maen FTP dan replace with the new ones hehehehehehehe
Iya, saya juga sudah mencoba di localhost dulu. Tapi terkadang apa yang terjadi di lapangan berbeda dengan apa yang ada dalam”teori” localhost. Hehe…
I honestly think that a one click upgrading is too risky. Something might happen with your database. It is better to backup the database first and then do the upgrade. But if the one click upgrade itself includes making a backup of the database then it is worth the try.
That is good idea Gus. I’m totally agree with you, we always need plan B (backup) in a risky operation
I have upgraded my blog to WP 2.5. I have similar experince like you do. When I try to open the widget then the widget box only half box open menas that I couldn’t see all the box content. Well actually it’s a little bit annoying but it is still tolerable. Now I still doubt to upgrate my blog to 2.5.1 or 2.6. Maybe later…

btw awal2 pake 2.5 keatas ko terasa kurang familiar yah, jadi harus biasain diri lagi sama tampilan dashboardnya

masih serem mau upgrade. blog saya yg satu masih 2.3.3
We all have ability to write like this. The difference is how we use it. most of us are stuck in our shells and dont stick our necks out far enough to expose our thoughts like this. You’re one of the brave enough to try and make a difference.
